2. Description of Service

SecondBrain is an AI-powered personal knowledge management system that helps you capture, organize, and retrieve information. We provide:

  • Capture functionality via Slack, web dashboard, and other messaging platforms
  • AI-powered automatic classification into four categories (People, Projects, Ideas, Admin) with confidence scoring
  • Automated daily digests and weekly review summaries
  • Integration with third-party services including Slack, Google, and Stripe
  • API access for custom integrations (availability varies by plan)

3. Account Registration

To use SecondBrain, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your password
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. Subscription and Payment

Free Plan

We offer a free plan with limited features (100 captures/month, 7-day history). This plan may be modified or discontinued at our discretion.

Paid Plans

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions. After this period, refunds are provided at our discretion.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Upload malicious content or code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Resell or redistribute the service without permission
  • Use automated methods to access the service excessively

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create and upload to SecondBrain. By using our service, you grant us a license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the service.

Our Service

SecondBrain, including its design, features, and code, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without permission.

7. AI-Powered Features

SecondBrain uses artificial intelligence to classify your captures, generate digests, and surface relevant information. You acknowledge that:

  • AI classifications are automated suggestions and may not always be accurate
  • You can correct misclassifications, and the system will learn from your corrections
  • AI-generated summaries in daily digests and weekly reviews are automated and should be reviewed for accuracy
  • Confidence scores indicate the AI's certainty but do not guarantee correctness

8. Third-Party Integrations

SecondBrain integrates with third-party services including Slack, Google, and Stripe. By connecting these services, you authorize us to access the specific data required to provide our functionality (e.g., reading the #sb-inbox Slack channel). Your use of these third-party services is also subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

SecondBrain is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. AI classifications are automated suggestions and may not always be accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecondBrain shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
